The proximity to Tallin old town, the variety for breakfast the availability of free internet how peaceful it was and the standard of service was quite good. Staff were very efficient but could have been a little friendlier.
The room was quite small for a superior room. There was no bath and the shower had no cubicle. This meant the floor was wet for a long time after making it difficlult to apply makeup dry hair etc. Would have preferred some of the breakfast option to be warm (french toast)
The price campaign of 69€ per night was probably one of the best value for money experiance I've ever had when it comes to hotel rates!
The hotel's room was fine... there was a computer in the bedroom linked up to the internet which was very convenient. The desk was located under the roof eaves which meant that I had to stay bent after getting up off the chair. The bathroom was really small and the shower was in the bathtub which I found a little difficult to get in and out of. The room and bathroom could use more shelving. The restaurant is excellent - we ate there quite a bit due to inclement weather and each of the 3 meals we had there were really good with efficient and friendly waitresses.
I didn't like the fact that you had to lug all your luggage up front steps to get enter the hotel. There was no ramp for suitcases. The elevator system was annoying -- you had to use your room key in order to activate the elevator, but it often didn't work and took a few times of putting the key in and out of the slot before the elevator moved.
Great breakfast. Good room (zen deluxe), great bed. Useful i-net terminal in the room (for those who do not use mobile i-net)
Some problem with bath sink drain (quickly fixed)
Reception area and exterior is quite pleasant
1. The photo of the Zen room on the net was a complete misrepresentation. In fact the room is incredibly basic, and tiny. The furnishings are cheap. The "double bed" is in fact two single beds that separate. 2. on complaining to the receptionist her was response was to shrug her shoulders. I wish I had not paid up front. 3. Breakfast was very basic, old hardened scrambled eggs, no staff in sight, the rest of the food tastless. Furbishings better placed in a cheap social services hall
Breakfast was really good
The location of room wartseb poor. The noise metabss when you are on first floor is terrible. And the wc room is really small
Good clean, simple hotel not too far away from the old city.
There was a charge for the sauna/spa that was not mentioned on Booked.net or the hotel website. Extra costs should always be transparent at time of booking. To make matters worse, the sauna/spa had to be booked and all slots were already taken when we arrived. So the spa element of our holiday never materialised, which was a big let-down.
The hotel is very close to old town-which is great for going out for dinner and/or drinks. The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable and very clean.
The shower was a bit ridiculous. You can't help but get the floor soaking wet.
Old and traditional. Ideally situated. Close to Old City (easy walk up hill) and with views of Toompea Castle. On bus route from and to airport (bus stop just next to hotel) - very convenient and inexpensive airport transfer on public bus. c.500m walk to railway station. Zen de-luxe room a novelty and very comfortable.A good-sized room. Pretty Christmas decorations and tree in courtyard. We didn't try the restaurant or use the Zen spa facility.
Just the buffet breakfast. Part of this was a hot breakfast which was placed out in containers and left to go cold and not readily replaced. The cold continental breakfast was good and plentiful however. Tea and coffee sachets were not replaced on one day.
Nice location. Just outside Old town, near Toompea tower. Quiet place. Great breakfast. Nice stuff, speaks Estonian, English, Russian.
Everything is good. But people should consider that it is a little bit of walk to the center of old town, and road goes kinda up hill. So it is a good fitness.
The nice girls at the Bistro
The persons behind the desk - didn't enjoy helping . . .
Great bed good breakfast excellent staff excellent location
Rooms a little small drain kicked up a bit of a smell in our room
The quality of the breakfast buffet could be slightly improved. The overall impression is very ofter based on the services as well as quality of food that you get to enjoy during your stay. In the restaurant the personnel would be kindly asked to advise about the closure of the kitchen when the order is being placed. This time when the family reached the end of the main course and enquired about desserts we were bluntly told that the kitchen is closed - not of the highest standard in terms of professionalism by the restauranta staff.
The room was lovely exceeding my expectations The whirlpool bath was fantastic and just what was needed after a full day of sight seeing. The hotel was situated in an ideal location in which to explore Tallin's old town. Thoroughly recommended
Friendly staff Great room - really big with spa and also internet without any hassles. Close to the old town and easy to find.
